Common questions
Do I need the pad to use Humanodoro?
Yes. Humanodoro is designed to work with the Humanodoro Pad and an NFC-capable phone. The companion app is part of the Pad experience, not a standalone no-pad app.
How does the NFC detection work?
The pad contains an NFC chip. When you place an NFC-capable phone on it, the app detects the Pad and starts the focus ritual. In App Block mode, tapping the Pad is also the intentional way to unblock selected apps early.
What is the difference between the pad styles?
All styles use the same NFC technology and work identically with the app. Black and White use a modern plastic body with a cork top. The Cork version is made from 95% natural biodegradable materials: cork and wood.
Does Humanodoro block my apps or lock my phone?
Both modes use app blocking. You choose a separate blocked-app list for Phone-Free mode and App Block mode. The phone is not locked like a lockbox; Humanodoro blocks the selected apps for the timed session, and the stricter mode can be exited early with an intentional Pad tap.
What gamified progress do I get?
Inside the app you collect XP, levels, streaks, and visible progress. Humanodoro does not promise cash, physical giveaways, or other external benefits.
